Dr. Madkour Thabet, head of the Egyptian censorship, approved the scenario for the new movie “God's Hand”, which will star Egyptian prominent actor Nour El Sharif. The movie, which was written by Ahmad Fikry, tells the story of the attempts to assassinate the Egyptian President, Husni Mubarak, in Adis Ababa back in the summer of 1995.

El Sharif was given the leading role in the movie, which is the first to tell a story that involves the Egyptian president personally. The film also talks about the fierce hidden war between the Egyptian apparatus and the Islamic fundamentalists, which reached its peak during this unsuccessful assassination attempt.

Fikry tried through his story to clarify with whom was "God's hand" during that incident and also to show that what happened in Adis Ababa was a crises and should be studied thoroughly in order to move on and learn from our own mistakes.

The approval of the censorship is not the final stage the scenario has to go through in order to have the approval of the Egyptian apparatus before they can start filming. Fikry revealed that if the scenario was rejected he will go to court and to President Mubarak personally, reported the London based Elaph.

El Sherif has admitted that he constantly undergoes psychotherapy sessions when he feels he is encountering psychological problems that can not be resolved easily. The actor stressed that he is not ashamed to admit going to such a doctor for psychotherapy is very helpful when someone is experiencing mental and emotional problems.

Nour had rejected to sign a contract for a new TV drama to represent famous Islamic leader Khaled Bin Alwaleed unless an official approval by Al Azhar is given. Nour had previously showed his enthusiasm to perform the role after watching a movie done by late actor Hussein Sidqi, so he immediately asked writer Sami Guneim to transform the story intto a TV drama.

El Sherif retracted and asked the author to have Al Azhar's approval first before signing any formal contract, in order not to face any complications. If this project receives the approval of AL Azhar, it will eventually open the gateway to the production of more dramas representing famous figures in Islamic history like Abu Baker, Othman bin Affan , and Ali Bin Abi Taleb. –Albawaba.com
