Christmas has come early for Egyptian actress Ola Ghanem who has just finished filming scenes for her seasonal movie after a series of delays made it look like she might be working well into December.

In line with Ola's notorious reputation for avoiding traditional roles, 'Christmas' is about as far from the festive world of Santa's North Pole as you can get. The film - which is set in Egypt - is centred around the murder of a woman on New Years Eve. Based on real-life events, the film unfolds the mystery.

Filming had been put on pause for the busy cast who were working hard on their TV dramas at the same time as shooting the movie.

But, the cast and crew breathed a sigh of relief when director Mohammad Hamdi announced that filming was over after some long days shooting the closing scenes in Cairo.

Would you prefer to see Ola Ghanem act in more traditional films or are you a fan of her edgier performances?
