Dark, lustrous, and magnificently powerful, what Egyptian actress wouldn’t want to play the part of the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt? Ola Ghanem couldn’t be more please that she’s snagged the role of Cleopatra Queen of the Nile in the upcoming film "Al Far'oun Al Sagheer" (The Young Pharaoh). The starlet will be sharing the screen with a number of international actors from the United States of America, Italy and Egypt.
According to Laha Magazine, Ola said, "I feel very optimistic about taking part in the film and expect it will be a step upwards in my career. Not only because through it I will fulfill my dream of reaching international stardom, but for the fact that I will be playing the role of Cleopatra Queen of Nile, whom I have been dreaming of portraying for so long."
Ola added, "The role contains very difficult scenes and need special preparations, and the fact that I speak the language of the Pharaohs was a factor in my nomination."
The film is directed by Russian director Darghan Latik and Egyptian director Ehab Lami.
Ola will also be taking over the small screen in the new television drama "Quloob" (Hearts), during Ramadan drama marathon 2014, along with co-stars Najla Badr, Abir Sabri and Raja Al Jadawi.
