Amal Alamuddin's highly publicized wedding to George Clooney took place just this weekend, but one designer has already created a copy of her fabulous Oscar de la Renta bridal gown.

Within mere hours of the dress's big 'reveal' in People, Vogue and Hello magazines, New York-based designer Isabelle Armstrong sent out a press release offering customers the chance to 'get the celebrity look for less'.

Her 'Andrea gown' features the same lace detail and off-the-shoulder cut as Amal's dress, only this one is set to retail for about $7,200 - a fraction of what the bride likely paid for her custom look.

The gown - which was 'crafted to epitomize glamour, elegance and appeal,' according to a release - will be available at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue stores from Saturday.

While the knockoff bares some resemblance to the gown the new Mrs Clooney wore to her wedding, certain aspects set it apart - like its much shorter train and sweetheart neckline.

Indeed, according to Vogue, Amal's train consisted of so much fabric that it was too heavy for her 12-year-old flower girl Mia, her sister's daughter, to carry.

And, of course, it's unlikely that the Isabelle Armstrong version will fit quite as perfectly as Amal's custom-made ensemble did.

Still, brides on a budget may well be tempted by the dress, which the designer promoted in a press release sent out on Sunday.

'Amal Alamuddin is becoming known for her classic fashion and undeniable elegance, and let's be honest, our favorite part of their nuptials was certainly the revelation of her high-end designer wedding gown!' said the release.

'Want to look as dazzling as this iconic newlywed? Get the celebrity look for less with Isabelle Armstrong; a luxury bridal collection that creates beautiful and sophisticated designs for brides to look as alluring as these fashion icons on their dreams days!'

The designer's publicist told WWD that since she expects the dress to fly off the shelves. To keep customers satisfied, 'They have elves working for them,' she joked.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin sold their wedding photos exclusively to HELLO! and People for charity.

And a picture of Amal's dress fitting with Oscar de la Renta was also taken by famed photographer Annie Leibowitz for U.S. Vogue.

The acclaimed barrister told the fashion bible: 'George and I wanted a wedding that was romantic and elegant, and I can’t imagine anyone more able than Oscar to capture this mood in a dress.
