Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, as three Lebanese designers showcased their haute couture collections for the Autumn-Winter 2015-2016 season Monday.

Georges Hobeika was the first to present his collection at the Salle Orbe New York of the prestigious Palais de Tokyo.

He was followed by Abed Mahfouz at the Saint James Albany’s Salon Marie Antoinette.

The last of the Lebanese designers to show in Paris Monday was Tony Ward, who mounted his show at L’Oratoire de Louvre.

Meanwhile, the countdown has started for four other Lebanese designers – including Elie Saab – who will present their latest collections during presentations scheduled throughout the week.

In the buildup to Paris Fashion Week, which kicked off Sunday and will run until Friday, the Instagram accounts of the seven designers were populated with pictures of the fittings and last-minute preparations for the fashion shows.

The posts provided a sneak peak to the offerings of the designers in terms of colors and embroideries for the Fall-Winter 2015-2016 season.

Georges Chakra will Tuesday reveal his garments during a fashion show at the Palais de Tokyo and the young, but inspiring Rami Kadi will show his collection at the Hotel Plaza Athenee.

Kadi, who teamed up with Dutch fashion blogger Negin Mirsalehi to reveal one of the outfits of his latest collection – a black gown with an ending of black and white fringes – promises to offer a modern and avant-garde haute couture collection.

Fashion giant Elie Saab will display his much anticipated collection shortly after noon on July 8 at the Pavillon Cambon Capucines.

Famous for his feminine yet romantic gowns, Saab drew inspiration from the city of Beirut for his Spring-Summer 2015 haute couture collection in France. Fashionistas and critics alike are waiting to see what Saab has in store for them for the cold season.

Saab, who launched his second Paris boutique last week in the heart of the French capital’s Golden Triangle, will present classy pieces of incredible craftsmanship, critics predicted.

Last but not least, celebrities’ favorite, Zuhair Murad, will be showing his garments at the Orbe New York at the Palais de Tokyo Thursday, July 9.

Last season, the Beirut-based designer’s collection was an evocation of water – all waterfall-like evening gowns with shining embroideries, swimsuit bodices and mermaid overlays.

Murad’s Fall-Winter frocks will be no less sexy as the designer has long dazzled with his ultra-feminine cuts and fabrics, and daring color choices.
