Moroccan film buffs were left outraged on Sunday when a local movie channel aired a scene that should have been censored, by Arab standards.

Usually, when American films are aired across the Arab world, any offensive language is bleeped and taken out from the subtitles.

So imagine Moroccans' outrage when Aflam TV left the translation of a sexual scene in its Arabic subtitles.

The scene was from the movie "Stateside," where two women were having a provocative conversation with subtitles that translated into: “I wanted to suck his c***.”

Moroccan interpreter Mohamed Mouad Chahbane told Morocco World News that he took a snapshot of the scene and the subtitle to "express his dissatisfaction with the low quality content aired by Aflam TV."

“Aflam TV keeps airing this movie twice a week. This is not the only obscene scene. Don’t we have competent translators in Morocco?” he said.

Chahbane wasn't the only one to comment on the photo. His post went viral on Facebook in Morocco, which got social media users debating. They described Aflam TV as "unprofessional," saying the vulgar expression should have been cut from the movie.

Moroccan journalist Youssef Assadi told Morocco World News, “This is an unacceptable move from this state-owned channel and a transparent violation of the Moroccan audiovisual law,” he explained.

“The channel is financed by the taxes Moroccans pay. The channel should have respected the characteristics of Morocco’s conservative society,” he concluded.

In May, Moroccans were left furious when state channel 2M aired international superstar Jennifer Lopez's risque performance during the 14th annual edition of the Mawazine Music Festival.

Although thousands of the festival-goers were in awe of the beautiful Latina's sensational performance, the persons complaining described her stage attire as "skimpy and naked." While many thought the pop diva would tone down her look and dance moves in tune with Morocco's conservative culture, she showed a lot of skin and put on some very sexy choreography instead.
