After randomly bumping into Turkish actor Murat Yildirim and his now-fiancee Moroccan actress and former beauty pageant winner Iman El Bani at Ankara airport last week, Turkish President Erdogan not only asked Iman's dad for her hand in marriage (for Murat) via FaceTime, but he sent the happy couple a present to congratulate them this week.
The gift was a large Holy Quran, which both Iman and her future hubby posted a photo of - surrounded by their families - on Instagram.
In her post, Iman said, "Thank you your excellency Mr. president Recep Tayyib Erdoğan and Mrs. first lady Emine Erdoğan for the wonderful precious holly Quran. @mrtyldrm and I are very overwhelmed by your generosity and love!!! (sic)."
Meanwhile, Murat thanked Erdogan for "the best present my wife could ever have."
Turkish media reported that it is Murat's wish to have the Turkish President as a witness at his wedding, but will that ever happen?
