Syrian actress, Salma Al Masri, has long been a star of the small screen but only recently has her personal life been embroiled in the same kind of drama off-screen as on.
The sultry star has announced that not only will she be staying in her home country, despite the civil war but also that she will continue working.
Salma revealed this week that she will be starring in two different on-screen dramas, set to air in Ramadan 2013. The first will see her exercising her funny bone in a comedy called 'Fool House', while the second will be a more traditional story, directed by Al Muthana Subh. Salma will play the role of 'Umm Ismael', a simple woman who lives in Damascus during the 1830s.
The star told reporters this week that she won't be leaving her beloved Syria any time soon as her "soul is tied to it and she must stick with her country in good and bad times."
