After a series of delays and hitches, and a two-year fan-fare, the new album for singer,"52", Samo Zaen, "Red Roses", was released on Wednesday the 11th of July. According to an insider at Mazika - the production company - the Syrian singer decided to postpone the album at least 5 times, out of respect for the critical situations around the Arab region. No doubt with added considerations for his own troubled home-land.
Music channels Mazika and Zoom, have this week begun airing the video clip for the debut and cover single "Red Roses". The album contains 11 songs including, "Red Roses", "Normal", "I dreamt of you", "Knight in shining armor", "I am ready," amongst others in the collection.
This latest series of Zaen's songs were recorded in the M1 studios accompanied by sound man Hani Mahrous. The lover-boy singer who married on Valentine's Day and recorded many love-ballads in his penultimate album,"In love" more recently has said he wants nothing to do with politics of the region, though he has been known to express his opinions quite publically in the past. The singer (for shame) accused of the crime of not knowing Elissa, pronouncd the challenge ahead of staying hush hush about political matters concerning his region:
"Conditions around the Arab world are messy, and if words are made of silver, then staying quiet is gold,” voiced Zein. Profound words at a difficult time.
