For the best beach beats around head down to Sandance, Dubai's famed music festival held on Atlantis Beach at Atlantis, the Palm resort. The good times kick off at 3pm on Friday 10 October 2014, and are sure to keep party-goers satsified as Europe's festival season winds down for another year.

To help heat things up, on the line up are awesome Aussie electropop stars Empire of the Sun, whose 80's-esque vocals and David Bowie-inspired light shows hypnotized fans across the world during their 2008 "Walking on a Dream" debut album. The fantasy electric dance tunes from their second album, Ice on the Dune, released last year, were described as "fairydust-flecked melodies and "fantasising flasetto vocals" by the Independent. The band's talented duo are Luke Steele from the alternative rock band The Sleepy Jackson (named after a narcoleptic!) and Nick Littlemore, an Elton John prodigy from pop act Pnau.

Also set to stun Sandancers are UK sensations Rudimental and Clean Bandit. Rudimental, with their hit single "Feel the Love" was named by the BBC as the festival band of the summer, whilst Clean Bandit fans will be delighted by the fusion electronic dance hit of "Rather Be".

Sandance ravers can also look forward to New York act De La Soul, who are best known for their grammy award winning collaboration with Gorillaz on the song "Feel Good Inc", and for spearheading the alternative hip-hop movement in the late 1980s. Their 1989 debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising, was so influential that it was added to America's National Recording Registry for the its cultural signficance. They use eclectic sampling and quirky lyrics in a jazz rap and alternative hip hop style that includes humourous 'skits' between songs, which if nothing else will delight and attract new fans!

With such a star-studded lineup and early bird tickets at Dhs295, the 3pm to 3am rave will ensure that as the sun goes down, the sand will be kicked up at the best beach beat-fest Dubai has to offer!
