Egyptian singer Sandy has filed a complaint against Lebanese signer Nawal Al Zoghbi. Sandy has accused the Levantine start of banning her from performing at a charity event held in Dubai last week.

Sandy, who is part of the Egyptian Music Union, has said that Zoghbi had no right to stop her from performing. The union is currently investigating and has contacted Zoghbi so she can add her side to the story.

According Elaph, singer Mustafa Kamel, who is an official in the union, has denied rumors that Zoghbi has been banned from performing due to the complaint from Sandy, causing the cancellation of a highly anticipated New Years Eve concert by the Lebanese star. Kamal stated that Zoghbi had been contacted and is due to reply in due course, stressing that Zoghbi is a highly respected artist and it is not possible to ban someone purely on an accusation.

Tell us what you think! What do you think of the spat between Sandy and Nawal? Is the complaint fair?
