Saudi Actor Muhanned Al-Hamdi has honored the late Syrian director Hatem Ali by sharing a scene of one of his series which sparked controversy about Muhanned's fiancée Farah Mourad's religion.
Al-Hamdi decided to respond to fans question via video and confirmed that she is a Muslim woman.
He said: "My wife is a Sunni Muslim from Tripoli, and I shared the video because it was directed by Hatem Ali who passed away."
Muhanned added: "By the way even if my wife was Christian I wouldn't care at all because it's halal and I'm fine with it."
The Saudi actor concluded: "Originally I didn't ask her about her religion, I loved her and of course I wouldn't. Later on I came to know that she's a Sunni Muslim, and if I found out that she was Christian; I wouldn't care too."
