ALBAWABA - French beauty giant Sephora is set to open several stores across Israel, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Jerusalem. However, Israeli reports state that the beauty giant will open its doors with a limited selection of products.
According to The Times of Israel, citing Ynet News, brands such as Huda Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty, and Rihanna's Fenty Beauty will not be available for purchase until further notice. Sephora, operated by franchisee Glam42, claims it will expand its store count in the next couple of years, aside from the three stores and five boutique "corners."
Sephora to open in Israel without Huda Beauty
Israeli media revealed that LVMH, Benefit, Fresh, KVD Beauty, Fugazzi, K Beauty, and BORN TO STAND OUT will be available for sale in stores. LVMH states that the stores were launched as a "pilot" to test their success over the next two years before introducing further products to market.
Ynet recently confirmed that Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty is set to go on sale at popular Israeli pharmacy chain Be Pharm, with reports stating that the company purchases millions of shekels’ worth of cosmetics to prevent stock from selling out immediately. While the brand was previously sold locally through independent sites, this will mark the first time it's sold through a major retail chain.
