Shock horror, style-icon Amal Clooney's got a stylist!
Well, she is busy defending human rights and all, so the Lebanese beauty-and-brains is entitled to a bit of help now and then. Enter Londoner Alexis Roche, celebrity stylist to red carpet regulars Marion Cotillard, Uma Thurman and upstarts such as Kendall Jenner, half-sister to the Kardashian klan. Can you believe that Amal Clooney shares a stylist with Kendall Jenner?
Alexis is the long-term partner of John Galliano, yes, THAT John Galliano who was captured on video in a drunken anti-Semitic public rant, a week before Paris Fashion Week 2011. Galliano was found guilty of making public anti-Semitic remarks and sentenced to pay a fine of €6,000. He was booted out of the House of Dior and suffered a spectacular fall from grace until Vogue's Anna Wintour helped him back onto his feet in 2013. Galliano credits stylist, Alexis Roche, for supporting him through tough times.
Galliano joined Maison Martin Margiela last year, and when Amal stepped out in Margiela by Galliano red dress at New York's iconic Met Gala and in Galliano's yellow dress at the Tomorrowland premiere in Tokyo, fingers were quick to point out the irony of a human rights lawyer wearing a dress designed by someone who has been prosecuted for hate speech in France.
But really, the Internet is more shocked that Amal has a stylist (despite George's claims to the contrary!) than concerned about who designed her dress!
