The appearance of Mariam, daughter of Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahhab on the show “Al Tufaha” (The Apple) was a complete surprise to host Lebanese singer Nicole Saba and the crew of the show.
Nicole acknowledged that the presence of little girl Mariam on the talk show was not a scheduled feature for the episode in which mother Sherine - herself in the process of filing for divorce- was a guest. How the inlcusion of star guest's child came about, former girl band member said, would be revealed to viewers by Sherine once the show aired during the holy month.
According to MBC.net, Nicole has posted some photos of the filmed episode with Sherine ahead of the Ramadan airing, and has said that her episode with Sherine was a very pleasant one. She describes guest Sherine as a very down to earth celebrity who comes across as comfortable in her own skin.
Apparently Sherine appeared on the set of the show accompanied by her daughter Mariam who initially sat outside the studio until Nicole suddenly had the idea of bringing Mariam into the episode and relaxed mom Sherine was game to bring her girl on the small screen.
Nicole said, ‘I considered the appearance of Mariam a special privilege since it is known that Sherine makes it a point to keep her daughters away from the spotlight.’ Nicole stressed that having Mariam was not previously planned for and the proof was in Sherine’s statement during the episode that she had no intention of having her daughter on the show, which is why she had dressed her in a causal tracksuit.
