The tickets for the concert of Lebanese singer Majida El Roumi, set to take place on January 23 at Sharjah’s Al Majaz Amphitheatre, are selling like hot cakes. The massive response for El Roumi’s show comes in the wake of the announcement by the Management of Al Majaz Amphitheatre — affiliated to the Sharjah Media Centre (SMC) — that the proceeds of the show will go to the Big Heart Foundation, a humanitarian initiative launched by Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Sharjah Ruler and UNHCR Eminent Advocate for Refugee Children. The donation will help the foundation provide protection to refugee children worldwide and ensure a better future for them.
Sponsored by Tilal Properties, the concert will be held at 9:30 pm, this Friday and tickets for the concert will be exclusively available at www.ticketmaster.ae, in six categories for Dh1,500, Dh1,000, Dh800, Dh700, Dh500 and Dh250, depending on the category you chose.
Donation boxes will be placed at various locations in the amphitheatre during the performance.
Osama Samra, Director of the Sharjah Media Centre, said: “Charity concerts always see a huge response by the audience because of their contribution to support humanitarian issues and compassionate campaigns. We are pleased with the allocation of the proceeds of El Roumi’s concert to support the Big Heart Foundation. By buying the concert’s tickets, whose proceeds will be donated to the foundation, it will be possible for the foundation to help needy children and those affected by wars throughout the world, especially refugee children who need help to resume their normal lives.”
