The Voice Arabia season 3 has come to an end on Saturday night, making Jordanian singer Nidaa Sharara the winner in 2015.

Nidaa is the first veiled woman to win an Arab talent show, which makes her win just that extra special.

While some criticized the veiled rising star for taking up a career in music, as some believe singing is forbidden in Islam, others cheered Nidaa on and were happy for someone "religious" to win, because it shows the positive side of Islam.

But that's exactly why dozens of social media users were convinced that the results were fixed. Critics accused MBC - the channel that owns and broadcasts the show - of favoring Nidaa for the win, at a time when Islam is in desperate need of a positive light in the media, especially internationally.

Either way, congrats young lady, and here's to a successful career in record-making!

Nidaa is the second Jordanian to ever win a regional TV talent competition after Diana Karazon won Superstar in 2003.
