Egyptian singer Shireen Ahmad has announced the breakup of her engagement to Egyptian businessman and concert coordinator, Issam, after the two have been together for less than a year. Shireen has already begun to appear on her own at different occasions, after being always accompanied by Assam, who acted as her personal business manager throughout their relationship.
According to the London based Elaph, Shireen held a concert at Marina in Egypt without the company of Issam and commented that the two are having some problems. The news of the breakup spread immediately after that with many questions rising as to what is the main reason behind the sudden separation, especially after the two had repeatedly appeared to be so much in love.
Shireen had announced her engagement to Issam a few months ago and held a private engagement party in her home, which consisted of her family and producer Naser Mahrous, whom she made up with recently, in addition to her fiancé’s family.
Shireen had stressed that her marriage would not affect her music career, and that she plans on resuming her journey, especially since the upcoming period marks such an important one with the success she is accomplishing.
On a different note, a Cairo court is going to look into a case a lawsuit against Shireen on September 8. Producer Hamdi Ahmed has instituted legal proceedings against Shireen accusing her of not fulfilling the terms of a contract singed between them. Ahmed was the first one to discover her talent and produced her fist album sponsoring all her work until she was well known.
Shireen rewarded him by signing with another production company ignoring him totally. Ahmed filed the lawsuit against her demanding she pay a penalty and another million EGP as compensation to all his financial and emotional loss.
Ahmed also warned the Egyptian musicians association to take all legal actions against Shireen according to his lawsuit, the thing that means canceling her membership from the association. From her side Shireen only commented by saying that she will give the court all documents that would justify her action. -Albawaba.com
