Egypt’s TV Film Contracts Department is planning to screen 25 of the 82 films of the late Suad Hosni on the small screen, including Al Karnak, which has been barred by TV censors many times, according to the Egyptian daily Al Masaa.

The censors have recently given the green light for screening the film on TV after omitting the scenes of physical torture faced by the stars, including Noor Al Sharif and Mohammed Subhi. This is in addition to the removal of the repeated scenes of rape faced by the late actress Suad Hosni, who performed the character of a med school student who is arrested by the police on charges of participating in a student organization.

The film will be screened at the end of next August.

Other films by the late actress scheduled for screening include Al Safirah Azizah (Ambassador Azizah), in which she appears along with Shukri Sarhan, Adli Kaseb and Widad Hamdi.

Then there will be Janab Al Safirah (Her Excellency, the Ambassador), which costars Fuad Al Muhandes and Rushdi Abatha.

Yet another is Amiret Hubbi Ana (Princess of My Love), where Hosni appears along with Hussein Fahmi, Emad Hamdi and Samir Ghanem.

Finally, the department plans to show Al Mashbouh (Suspect), where the late actress performs alongside Adel Imam and Said Saleh, and Shafiqah Wa Mitwalli (Shafiqah and Mitwalli), where Hosni shares the screen with Ahmed Zaki, Jamil Rateb and Yunes Shalabi.

The film editor at Channel One has prepared a list of the film names owned by the TV station in order to screen them at different intervals - Albawaba.com
