Syrian actress and trained architect, Suzan Najm Aldeen, is gambling with her acting career by appearing in three different drama series this Ramadan. Some of these are stirring up quite a commotion already in the viewer social media commentary, which has been a little unkind.
She stars in: "Bab Al Khaleq" (Door of the Creator), the controversial "Al Farouq Omar" and "Ayam Al Dirasiyeh" (School Days), in which she plays herself.
In the series "Bab Al Khaleq", Suzan, also patron of the arts and sports back home in Syria, co-stars with classic Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz of whom she effuses: "He enchanted me with his profound performance. He is a great actor with superior standards... Any actor dreams to act alongside someone with his talent and experience. The world is inspired by his performance, I was thrilled to work with him, and I hope I can work with him again".
