Egyptian singer Tamer Husni has been arrested by Egyptian police on charges of fraud. The singer was caught using two separate passports, neither of which was legal.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Tamer employed an expert in forging passports to forge documents stating that he had served his mandatory military duty, for the bargain price of 17 thousand Egyptian pounds.
Tamer has begun shooting the first scenes for his third film "Omar and Salma." Lebanese singer/actor Nicole Saba, Egyptian actor Mai Izz El Din, and Izzat Abu Ouf will star alongside Tamer. The film is scheduled for release this summer season.
"Omar and Salma” is directed by Akram Fareed and written by Ahmad Abdul Fatah. There is a possibility the title will be changed to "Kul Thania Wi Inta Habibi" (Every Second and You Are My Love).
The film is is produced by Mohammad Al Sabki, and filming will take place between Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh.
Tamer will appear as a wealthy man, a change from the characters he played in his previous two films, and he will perform at least three songs in the new drama.
