Twice the bargain with Shireen

Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab has managed to film two different music videos in Lebanon for songs from her latest album in just 48 hours.

The clips were filmed under Egyptian producer Nasr Mahrous, the owner of Shireen’s production company, who has so far filmed all her clips.

According to the London based Elaph, the first clip was for the song “Ma Feesh Ghair Kidda” (There is no other way), filmed in downtown Beirut.

The second clip was for the song “Lazim A’eesh” (I have to live), written by Nasr himself.  The clip is supposed to offer a romantic simplicity, featuring Shireen sitting on a chair while singing.

Shireen announced that her upcoming album, produced by Free Music, will be released in August after numerous delays.

Recently, Shireen filed a lawsuit against her record producer, Nasr Mahrous, demanding to break the contract between them. Shireen claims that Nasr only produces one album for her every two years, a matter that negatively affects her career and is against the stipulations of their contract, which clearly states he must produce an album for her, yearly.

On a different note, Shireen denied rumors that her recent concert in Jordan was cut short due to her inappropriate dress.

The singer stressed that the real reason she refused to continue her performance, singing for only 40 minutes instead of one hour, was due to the fact that the stage was too close to the seating.

As a result, when she began singing her hit song “Ah Ya Lail,” (Oh Night) the audience began singing along and an intoxicated male audience member climbed on stage and began dancing with her in a manner that disturbed her.

Shireen explained that her fear from the drunken man was the real cause behind her leaving the stage and ending the concert.
