Ansel Elgort is making sure his fans take notice of his charitable efforts.
While he's certainly not been shy about showing off his body on Instagram before, on Tuesday the Baby Driver actor got his 10.1m followers in a fluster by posting a naked shower portrait with the promising caption: 'OnlyFans LINK IN BIO.'
However, the link in question turned out to be the page of a GoFundMe account that Ansel, 26, is throwing his weight behind, which promises to help feed frontline healthcare workers in Brooklyn, as they battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
For those unaware, OnlyFans is a risqué social media platform that allows users to post (usually) x-rated content to make money through having paid subscribers.
One fan commented: 'Click baiting for a cause... ur a legend.'
The goal of the initiative is to fund each Brooklyn for Life! restaurant, enabling them to provide - at no cost to the recipients - at least 75-100 meals per day for delivery to the Brooklyn frontlines of the pandemic.
Yet, you'd be forgiven for thinking Ansel had indeed created his OnlyFans account, judging by his previous behaviour on Instagram.
In May last year, The Fault In Our Stars actor uploaded no less than 17 only slightly different shirtless selfies in the span of ten minutes.
The actor did all of this without comment or caption, leaving fans to speculate over the wildly out-of-character behavior and what it could mean — all the while salivating over the heartthrob's pictures.
Fans who were tracking the posts in real time were incredibly confused and speculated over what was going on in the comments.
Others couldn't decide if he had lost his mind, was feeling particularly confident, or was simply hacked.
'Can't tell if he's hacked or just feeling himself,' wrote one.
But then, there were also those who simply didn't think it wise to look a gift horse in the mouth.
'Listen I don’t understand but I am grateful,' wrote one.
Ansel will next be seen on the big screen in the upcoming remake of the musical West Side Story, slated for a December release.
