Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie will be in Lebanon Tuesday to mark the fifth anniversary of the Syrian war, UNHCR said Monday.

Jolie, who is a special envoy for the U.N. refugee agency, is set to visit Syrian families living in Lebanon's eastern Bekaa Valley, according to the statement.

Jolie has made multiple visits to Syrian refugee sites in Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey since the outbreak of the civil war to bring attention to their plight.

More than 4 million Syrians have fled their country since the outbreak of the war, with roughly 1.5 million residing in Lebanon.

She last visited Lebanon in June 2015 to introduce her daughter to a Syrian child she met during a 2014 trip.
