It may not be Hollywood, but Jordanian actress Dana Hamdan will be starring in an exciting Spanish film titled “Vuelo” (Flight) next year.

The storyline revolves around three girls of different nationalities who have been close friends since school, then end up growing apart as adults due to life's difficult circumstances.

In the film, Jumana plays the role of “Dareen,” a woman of Arab descent living in Italy, who travels to Spain to complete her higher education.

While abroad, she meets her old friends in her new job and a new chapter in their lives begins.

The European production will be directed by young Spanish director Juan Recardo. Filming will take place early next year.

Dana expressed her utter happiness at taking part in the movie, stating that this is a huge and important step in her acting career, as Spanish cinema is considered amongst the most prestigious in the world.

But how did Dana get nominated for the role in the first place? According to the actress, some of her Italian classmates who studied Fashion Design with her in Milan were responsible for getting her the gig. Good on ya, guys!
