In December last year, London-based singer Victoria Aitken featured curvy Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton in her single. This time around, Dubai has a starring role in her latest single, Neon Nights.

“Dubai is the most beautiful city at night. All those buildings like Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab are always lit up. It’s an amazing 24-hour city,” Aitken told tabloid! after wrapping her shoot this weekend.

She spent the weekend shooting in the desert to capture the twilight landscape. She’s not alone in featuring Dubai’s landscapes in a music video. Last year, American rapper Flo Rida put Dubai on the map with his hit “Wild Ones”. The video featured scenes of him skydiving and living it up in a nightclub. But Neon Nights gives off a different vibe, claims the daughter of former UK cabinet minister Jonathan Aitken.

“Neon Nights gives off a vibe of “Wild Ones” after-party. It’s a part 2, Dubai after-hours … Wild Ones is the guy version of Dubai. He is jumping out of planes. I don’t have any of that,” said Aitken.

In the video, she wears a black and neon dress designed by UAE’s Hayla Geneivieve Oriel, as well as dresses by Ayesha Depala.

“I have tried to capture the beauty of Dubai in this video… I always try to say something through my songs. It’s not just about putting your hands up in the air, my song has to express something, make people think.”
