Ingrid Bawab is being heavily attacked for what she did to her dog.
The story first started when a video of a woman was brutally beating up her dog in the streets of Lebanon went viral on social media.
Users of the social networking sites have been heavily circulating the video without knowing the identity of the woman and demanding authorities to hold her accountable.
Soon after it was revealed that The Voice Arabia Alum Ingrid Bawab was the woman in the video; she participated in the second season of the talent show.
Ingrid was subjected to severe attack from the public describing her as cruel and inhuman.
One commentator wrote that Bawab was angry with someone and she's taking it out on the poor-subservient dog.
Another one added that she has some personal issues and she's taking it out on the dog, wishing to have an animal rights authority to humiliate her as she's humiliating the dog.
Ingrid Bawab didn't stay silent and tried to justify and explain the real story behind the video.
She said: "This video has been taken 4 months ago. My dog had ran away and she was about to be hit by cars. I couldn't tolerate that and when I found her I hit her because I was so worried about her. Perhaps my reaction was a bit harsh, but I don't deserve this severe attack."

Ingrid continued: "Since I was a child we had about 20 dogs at our home, so nobody can bargain on my love to my pets, and anyone who's close to me knows how much I spoil my dog."
Bawab expressed her shock of photographing her in the street, and she was even more shocked when a relative of hers leaked her name to the media.
The Voice Arabia alum's justifications didn't do her any good, and followers have kept on the attack prompting her to deactivate her official Instagram page.
Official authorities, in turn, confirmed that they would take the appropriate action against Ingrid, such as paying a fine and taking the animal to the Care and Adoption Center.
