Lebanese singer Wael Jassar  shared that the reason behind his absence from the scene the past six months is due to the fact that he was greatly affected by the unstable political conditions in the Arab world.  Wael stressed that regardless of political and social upheaval, life goes on and a person must carry on his daily tasks.

During a recent press conference Wael held in Amman, Jordan prior to his performance at the popular annual music festival in Jarash, he said that he released a single after the Bor Saed Massacre in Egypt titled “Ismi Anas” (My Name is Anas), in addition to releasing another song to the Arab world titled “Hal Fi Waqt” (Is There Time).

With regards to his participation at Jarash, Wael said, ‘Jarash has its own unique taste and is very special to me mainly  due to the Jordanian people who know the true value of art, and despite my many participations in different festivals around the world, Jarash remains number one in my heart.’

Wael stated that some of the best singers in the Arab world have performed at the Jarash festival, which marks has existed for 27 years, and it gives him great honor to be selected to perform and be part of the magical essence of the festival.
