Lebanese singer Waleed Tawfiq is gearing up to take a starring role in an Egyptian film along with the renowned Egyptian actress Yusra.
Tawfiq received the offer during his recent stay in Cairo, according to the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
Egyptian actress Elham Shahin was contacted to play a staring role, but the final nod went to Yusra.
Tawfiq is expected to leave for Morocco on August 17 in response to an invitation by the Moroccan Association to Support the Palestinian People’s Struggle, under the slogan Ana Filistini (I Am Palestinian).
He has recently wrapped up the shooting of the music video for his song Al Qissah Kolha (The Whole Story) directed by Camil Tanius -- Albawaba.com
