During a recent charity gala, Lebanese singer Walid Tawfiq launched a new album featuring 14 songs that are remixes for songs by the great icons of Arabic classical music like Um Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, Shadia and others.

This is such an original and exciting idea! The album is part of a series of albums Walid intends on releasing featuring remixes for great classical Arab singers.

According to Elaph news, Walid also plans on filming a music video for the song "Mish Ma'oul," which he has recently released as a single. The clip will be filmed with Lebanese director Walid Naseef.

If you’re Walid’s biggest fan, you can bring in 2014 and celebrate New Year's Eve with him at the Le Royal Hotel in Beirut.
