Conflicting accounts have emerged regarding the cause of the fire, with people claiming that the fire was planned and intentional.
The deceased's assistant, in widely circulated statements, suggested a criminal cause in the incident, alleging that her husband was responsible for starting the fire in an attempt to seize her money.
The assistant added that Nevin Mandour’s husband was the only person present inside the apartment at the time of the incident, and that she had informed the Actors Syndicate to follow up on the case, considering that the death was not natural.
