ALBAWABA - Amid the continuous silence from Turkish stars during the deadly war against Palestine, one Turkish actor has broken his silence to express his views, but they were not in Palestine's favor.

Who is the artist and what was posted on social media?

Turkish artist of Iraqi origins, Eser West, sparked a state of controversy and anger by showing his full support to Israel amid the genocide the Gaza Strip is being subjected to.

The star of the series Hawa Baghdad posted a picture of the Israeli flag on Instagram Stories, and wrote the obscene phrase: “F**k Palestine.

Social media users attacked Eser, expressing their anger of what he wrote, which some described as “despicable” and “inhumane.”

One follower wrote: “The blame is not on you, but on the people who promoted you and considered you a human being."

Another added: “How disgusting it is to support people who take a country that is not theirs and kill children, women and the elderly. Long live free Palestine.”

Social media users even went to Eser West's Instagram account and flooded his pictures with pro-Palestine comments.

They said things like: "Iraq is not honored by people like you", "Palestine is the crown of your head", "Palestine remains free".

Who is Eser West?

Eser West was born in New York City on February 5, 1990. He later moved to live in Turkey. He is of Iraqi origins, as his grandmother is of Iraqi origin.

The artist became famous after taking part in the Turkish version of “Survivor” show in 2017, but he left the program in the fifth week because he could not bear the hunger. Then his fame increased after he participated in the Iraqi series “Hawa Baghdad” in 2019.
