OK, it's real, it's happening people: Will Smith is in Dubai AS WE SPEAK! (sigh)

The handsome Hollywood actor is in town to host a special red-carpet screening of his latest action film "The Suicide Squad," which was releaed in UAE cinemas on Thursday.

Action hero Smith plays antihero assassin Deadshot in the film, which made over nearly $65 million overseas in three days.

In a press conference at Mall of the Emirates earlier today, Smith chatted about his character, his work attitude, family dynamics, and most importantly, his love for Dubai.

Smith said that he first came to Dubai 15 years ago when the city was filled with "40% of the world's cranes" just as it was still being built.

He revealed that Dubai and Miami are his two favorite cities on Earth, adding that Dubai is the way he's always dreamt of building his own city, if he was ever to build one.

Smith said that Dubai "speaks to him," he loves its energy and the way it sets itself apart from everywhere else by making everything in it the biggest and best in the entire world.

Gulf News's Tabloid attended the conference - which they streamed Live on Facebook - where Smith talked more about Dubai and his life.
