Singer Medhat Saleh and actor Sharif Munir, who are reputedly close friends, have met again in their new film Melyon Sanat Hobb (Million Years of Love).
The new work is directed by Ashraf Fayeq, who previously directed the pair’s film Al Labbis, according to the Egyptian magazine Akhbar Al Nujoum.
The movie, written by Khaled Jamal, tells the story of a university student who falls in love with a classmate.
He asks his brother to accompany him to ask for her hand, but the brother, too, falls for the woman, causing a conflict between the two brothers over who will win her heart.
Saleh has agreed to appear on the condition that the film include a number of songs, to be performed along with Munir.
