"Friends of Telecom" gathering brings together telecom industry leaders

Ericsson organized the first ever “Friends of Telecom” dinner gathering at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza on May 25th, 2011, hosting key figures from Egypt’s telecom industry. While Egypt was the pilot market for this event, Ericsson is planning to host similar events across the Middle East in an effort to bring key players around the region together to discuss the future of the telecom industry.
The event was jointly organized with Telecom Review magazine and was attended by Telecom Minister Dr. Maged Osman, Head of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), Dr. Amr Badawy as well as the industry’s top level executives who discussed the latest telecom innovations focusing on the important role that the telecom industry currently plays in the economic development of the Middle East.
