UAE: Owners of properties to be given grants

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the direction of Dh450 million for the citizens in Abu Hail area, whose properties are affected by urban development, WAM reported.

 

According to resolution 170 for 2006, issued by the Court of Dubai Ruler, the owners of affected properties would either be given grants in lieu for rent charged before demolition or a one time grant equal to 80 per cent of the resulting figure from multiplying the property's total area by Dh20 for square foot, provided that the compensation amount should not be less than Dh50,000 per year.
