Disturbing pro-Daesh (ISIS) messages were discovered painted on a large rock outside Youngstown State University (YSU) in Ohio on Monday, sparking a police investigation at the campus. The messages were apparently written at some point on Sunday night and first seen by staff arriving at the campus on Monday morning.
The rock was decorated with a Daesh flag and what appears to be an upside-down Eiffel Tower in the shape of a peace sign—essentially the reverse of the symbol used to express solidarity with Paris after last week’s attacks.
Alongside the images, the phrases “YSU supports ISIS”, “France deserves destruction” and “We are coming” were written.

The university has stated that they do not believe there is any indication of a credible threat, however they have contacted the FBI as a precaution and local authorities are looking for those responsible.
A group of students gathered together to paint over the pro-Daesh messages with an American flag and peaceful messages, including “Salam” written in Arabic by an international student and the patriotic “Land Of The Free."
