Prominent retired Egyptian actress Shadia has announced that she refuses to act in any project that portrays her life. Shadia stressed that under no condition will she return to the spotlight. The retired actress sent a letter to the head of the Artist Union in Egypt, Ashraf Zaki, stating that she strongly refuses to have her life be portrayed in any kind of work and that her life in the entertainment world ended when she resigned. Shadia added that if anyone crosses the lines she has set regarding the matter she will take legal actions.
On his part, writer Maher Zahdi, who had written the story of Shadia’s life, stated that he is still waiting for her response regarding the script he sent her and requested that she makes any changes she feels necessary.
With regards to Shadia’s letter and request, Maher stressed that he will not take any further steps without the approval of Shadia.
