LG Electronics launches its “LG Technovation” IT Zone for university students in Jordan

Under the Patronage of the Information and Communications Technology  (ICT) Minister, His Excellency Eng. Atef Al Tal, LG Electronics recently launched its IT Experience Zone under the name “LG Technovation”, located next to Jordan University’s main gate. This Technical Zone, which is the first of its kind in the region, acts as a hub for students and the general public to experience different LG products and services, while enjoying the internet and all it has to offer free of charge. 

This educational-driven initiative will offer its visitors the chance to experience state-of-the-art products in the world of Information Technology (IT), absolutely for free, by directly interacting with latest LG’s 3D products such as: notebooks, mobile phones, televisions, and computer monitors. 

His Excellency Engineer Atef Tell, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stressed the importance of opening LG  IT Zone near the University of Jordan Campus. “This IT Zone would serve students and help them use different technologies in Education,” the minister noted. He also hailed the dedicated efforts of LG and their contribution to the IT sector. This contribution, he added, is part of achieving the partnership between the private and public sectors and in accordance with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah the II towards building a knowledge-based society.

LG Electronics Levant Managing Director, Mr. Kevin Cha, believes that this initiative serves an educational goal both academically and technologically. He said: “We are thrilled to be offering this service to aid and facilitate the lives of university students. Through this zone and the free services it provides, students will get the chance to accomplish so much in regards to their learning experience, by making use of our technologies at no additional cost.”
