A pair of Palestinian twin sisters have been indicted in Israel accused of making bombs to kill Israelis, according to the Shin Bet security services. Diana and Nadia Havila, both 18 years old, were arrested in December after a raid found pipe bombs in their home. Fertilizer, a knife, and Hamas headbands were also found, according to authorities.

The twins are believed to have learned how to create the bombs using videos on the Internet, with Diana purchasing the necessary chemical substances to make the explosives. Nadia is accused of helping her sister hide the devices.

“Dania accessed, through the internet, extremist Islamic preaching that encourages women to take an active part in terrorism against the State of Israel and against Jews,” authorities claimed.

They have been charged with a range of offences, including manufacturing explosives and trading in weapons.

“This investigation once again underscores the motivation that exists to carry out attacks, including among those who do not belong to terror organizations, and including women,” the Shin Bet said.
