The Syrian Electronic Army is back.
You remember them: The group of pro-Syrian-government group of hackers who've targeted multiple media and governmental websites from the West. They've hit the International Buniness Times, the New York Times, the Gaurdian and even the American satirical news site The Onion.
Now the Assad hackers have reappeared after several months of hibernation. On Wednesday, news rolled out about the group's targeted attack on the US Army's website. Check out the tweet below.
Around 3:30 pm ET on Monday, the American army base Fort Braggs discouraged users from going to the army's public site after the message. They gave this statement: “Avoid using www.army.mil for the time being. The web site is currently down, reportedly from being hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army.”
