Remember the British actor-turned-anti-Daesh-fighter, Michael Enright?
So far, the Internet's told us the Hollywood star set sail for Syria to fight with the Kurdish militia YPG, then got arrested for fighting with another Western YPG recruit. That last rumor has since been debunked, but Enright is back in the media spotlight this week with a new interview explaining what led him to the war-torn country to face off against the militant group.
Dubai-based channel Al Aan TV interviewed him last week in the first televised appearance we've seen since he showed up in Syria earlier this year.
Here, the star, who reportedly has no professional firearms experience or military training, talks about "righting the wrongs" done by Daesh, the brutal slaying of Jordanian pilot Muath Kasasbeh, and the Shiite militias fighting inside Iraq. You can watch the clip below.
