Microsoft Qatar, located at the Qatar Science and Technology Park, is set to have a major presence at QITCOM 2011 as a Platinum sponsor, with the brand showcasing both enterprise solutions and consumer offerings at this event which is poised to become the leading platform for Information and Communication Technology in Qatar.

The event is a key platform for Microsoft to demonstrate many of its solutions based on the cloud, as well as non-cloud based innovations. QITCOM will take place from May 24-26, 2011 at the Doha Exhibition Center.

Visitors to the Microsoft stand will have the opportunity to see and experience the latest enterprise offerings including optimized desktop; business productivity; optimized datacenter; Microsoft Dynamics ERP/CRM application software and developer tools. Microsoft will also be presenting its public and private cloud.

Additionally, live technology seminars and trainings will be delivered in a class room style environment incorporated into the stand, by Microsoft professionals as well as the company’s partners. Senior Microsoft representatives are also participating in the conference events, with Mohammad Hammoudi, Microsoft Qatar Country Manager, speaking on assistive technologies, and Microsoft Qatar’s focus on such initiatives. Mark Chaban, Director, Private Cloud and DataCentre, Microsoft Middle East and Africa, will present on cloud management in addition to Microsoft EMEA’s Director Applied Innovation Public Sector, Rudeiger Dorn, who is participating in a panel analyzing e-Government.

Consumer offerings featured at the exhibition will include the new Windows Phone, Microsoft’s latest Internet Explorer 9 browser, Microsoft Surface and XBOX Kinect, along with online cloud-based applications. Microsoft’s premier education tools and software will be present at QITCOM, including Microsoft MultiPoint Server.
