‘Chill Out’ at Mirinda Zone and win prizes

Hundreds of daily gift packs given away to participants with a special weekend bumper draw at the Mirinda zone
Puzzles, arts, games, karaoke and prizes galore – for all its worth, the Mirinda zone at Modhesh Fun City, sponsored this year by du, the integrated telecom service provider in the UAE, is surely a place to Chill Out this summer. Nested in the West Hall, this zone can be easily identified by its orange hue and crowded tables. Participants at this zone are largely between 4 to 14 years of age. There is a variety of activities for the children to try – crafts, art, puzzles, karaoke, and games.

Tala Wazzan, one of the staff at the zone said, “This is one place where the words, ‘I am bored’, can never be heard. There is variety in the activities and play. As members of the Mirinda zone, we explore new ways of keeping visitors to our place occupied and entertained. We do not limit ourselves to colouring or craft workshops! We play football, we do bowling, we arrange puzzles and even sing on karaoke – so it’s always fun! In fact, I am so much in love the whole ambience of this venue itself that I chose to come back this year to offer my time and services to the place. It’s a lovely way to keep busy and meet people from different walks of life.”

Being part of the fun at this zone is easy, the children have to register themselves by filling in a form and select the activity they want to participate in. In a day the zone sees at least 450-500 guests. All the names are included in a draw that happens on Friday – four lucky winners get themselves a scooter to enjoy. The fun never stops at this zone, which remains active all through the working hours of MFC.

“Apart from the weekly bumper prize, we have a huge array of gifts for all our participants at the zone. We give away T-shirts, caps, pencil cases, inflatable sofas, bottles, cars, doll house sets, lego sets, remote controlled cars, singing dolls, beauty set dolls, kiddie laptops, water guns, soccer sets, and even electric keyboards. There is a lot for the children to do and win here,” concluded Tala.

Housed at the Airport Expo in Dubai, Modhesh Fun City is open to all from 10.00am to 10.00pm, Saturday to Wednesday. On Thursdays and Fridays, the venue remains open until 12.00am. It opens at 3.00pm on Fridays. Entry fee is AED 20 per person.

Modhesh Fun City is co-sponsored by Emirates, DWTC, Masafi, and UAE Exchange. For further details log on to www.mydsf.com, or call Ahlan Dubai +971 600 54 5555.
