Egyptian and Libyan foreign ministers Ahmad Maher and Abdessalam al-Treiki agreed on Monday that the Egyptian-Libyan initiative on reconciliation in Sudan is proceeding on the proper track. Treiki said in a joint conference with his counterpart that the initiative is proceeding very well and parties to the Sudanese conflict are consulting with each other on steps needed for putting it in practice.
Maher said the meeting with Treiki covered various steps completed in consultation with the Sudanese side and underlined need to activate the initiative, which all parties concerned responded to. (Albawaba.com)
