“love is in the air” at abu dhabi duty free

Favarger Chocolate Fountains, YSL Perfumes and DAMAS jewellery among offers set to woo Valentines passengers

Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) will welcome its Valentine passengers today with a variety of activities and offers designed, says the UAE capital’s travel retail operator, to bring you closer to your loved ones.

Indeed, what could be more romantic for passengers this Valentine’s than Favarger, the Swiss chocolate-maker’s sumptuous display where passengers can dip dates, strawberries and other fruits into the chocolate fountain – to eat and share.

If just the tasting is not enough then passengers will no doubt be pleased to note that Favarger are also selling ceramic chocolate fondue sets – each coming with 300g of chocolate.

For the hopeless romantics who, every year, struggle to know what and where to buy, ADDF’s Beauty & Fragrance outlet has come to the rescue by dedicating stands geared to just male and female gift items.

A key sales period for fragrances this year is no exception as YSL has placed emphasis on its new Elle fragrance for women, and Nina Ricci’s recently launched Nina is also expected to be a favourite along with Hillary Swank’s new fragrance My Insolence from Guerlain.

It is almost impossible to go wrong on Valentine’s Day when buying jewellery but at this year DAMAS jewellers will make it easier than ever for passengers by offering two Valentine’s necklace and pendant sets shaped like a rose. The first is with a 0.5 carat diamond and 18 carat gold necklace, the second with 0.45 carat rubies.

“Valentine’s Day is always an exciting and special time in the duty free and we are sure passengers through Abu Dhabi will enjoy the atmosphere and fun activities on offer this year,” said Richard Isaac, Retail Development Manager, ADDF.
