11DAYS Launches Official Website for Papal Visit
11days.jo, a Jordanian company specialized in web design and internet services, recently undertook the design of the official website for the visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Jordan and the Holy Lands.
Produced by the media preparatory committee for the papal visit, www.abouna.org allows users to view the visit's itinerary, photo and video coverage, news and articles on Christian and archeological in the Kingdom, and other related information. For this detailed website, 11days.jo has implemented best practices in design that made available multimedia material in an accessible and usable format.
"Our team has utilized up-to-the-minute technologies to best display the website's many interactive options such as live coverage, videos, and high-quality photographs," said 11days.jo's GM Ahmad Zamel.
For his part, Father Rifaat Bader, head of the preparatory committee said: "The launching of the website allows for a better organization and coverage for as a monumental event. The website's design will help answer the public many inquiries and requests regarding the papal visit."
It is worth noting that His Holiness's visit to Jordan will be from the 8th until the 11th of May, after which he will head to the Holy Lands on a four-day visit.
