20 Israeli soldiers killed in 'friendly fire'

ALBAWABA - The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that 20 soldiers were killed in 'friendly fire,' 13 of which were killed in shooting accidents in Gaza since the start of the ground operation, Anadolu Agency reported.

Israel started a ground operation in Gaza on Oct. 27, 2023, days after the start of its offensive against the strip on Oct. 7.

On Oct.7, the Hamas military wing al-Qassam Brigades announced the al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel. Palestinian fighters "infiltrated" into Israeli-occupied regions captured military positions and took hostages.
