24th Congress of Tunisian Ophthalmology Society

The 24th Congress of the Tunisian Ophthalmology Society was held from Thursday March 10 until Sunday March 13 in a hotel in Tunisia. <i>La Presse</i> reports that within the framework of the Congress, renowned professor Zografos was invited to give a speech as a tribute to the Dr. Kortobi, who was one of the creators of the Ophthalmology Institute.

 

Kortobi was born in 1895 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Paris (1914). After working as an ophthalmologist for several years in Paris, he returned to Tunisia in 1931. He contributed greatly to the foundation of the Ophthalmology Institute in Bab Saâdoun and he was one of the founder members of the Tunisian Ophthalmology Society.
