The celebrations of the 49th anniversary of the Tunisian National Army started on Monday, June 13. <i>La Presse</i> reports that the celebrations will continue until July 5 and will take place in 23 different locations in the country, including Sidi Thabet, Soliman, Sejnane, Testour, Ain Draham, Errouhia, Ksour, Bir El Hfay, Foussana, El Guetar, Tamaghza, Sidi Makhlouf, El Fouar, Matmata, Sommar, Souassi, Bir Ali Ben Khlifa and Teboulba.
The ceremonies will feature various cultural activities such as an exposition presenting the Army's different units, performances by the military orchestra, a documentary film projection illustrating the history of the national army and a football game between two military academies. The organizers of these events noted that their objective is to familiarize the public and especially the youths with the military institutions.
